About us
Current research reveals DNA markers indicating that this family has been well established in Ireland for over 2,000 years and is linked to the Bréifne Irish clan.
This is primarily a Y DNA project. A Y-DNA test tells you about your direct male line, which would be your father, his father, and back in time. You must be male to take this test. If you are female, you will need to find a direct line male in your family tree to participate and represent your tree.
We welcome atDNA (autosomal) and mtDNA (mitochondrial) test results to identify additional male family members. We also welcome others of a different name but who fit the genetic profile.
