La Bretagne (Brittany) est une région occupant une péninsule située a l'extrémité ouest de la France, avec une forte connection ethnolinguistique (et génétique) a celle des autres régions celtiques, en particulier, Cornouailles, Pays de Galles, Irlande. Son histoire est marquée par des migrations des Iles Britanniques.
Veuillez ne pas rejoindre le Projet ADN Brittany/Bretagne si vous ne pouvez pas tracer l'ancêtre Y-ADN le plus distant de votre lignée paternelle bretonne.
Qui peut rejoindre le Projet ? Seules les personnes ayant une trace du plus distant ancêtre Y-DNA peuvent rejoindre le Projet Brittany/Bretagne Y-ADN.
Bien que l'haplotype a 12 marqueurs fournit par Family Tree DNA et la généalogie Y-ADN sont tout ce qui est requis pour rejoindre le Projet Y-ADN Brittany/Bretagne, nous recommandons fortement que vous mettiez a jour votre haplotype a 67 ou, idéalement a 111 marqueurs aussitôt que vous pouvez. Bretagne (Brittany) is a region in northwestern France with strong ethnolinguistic (and genetic) connections to the other Celtic regions, especially Cornwall, Wales, and Ireland. Its history is marked by migrations to and from the British Isles.
Please do NOT join a line to the Bretagne DNA Project if you cannot trace the most distant y-dna ancestor of that line to Bretagne.
Who Can Join? Please join a line to the Bretagne Y-DNA Project only if you can trace the most distant y-dna ancestor of that line to Bretagne.
Although a 12-marker haplotype from Family Tree DNA and y-dna ancestry in Bretagne are all that is required to join the Bretagne Y-DNA Project, we strongly suggest you upgrade your haplotype to 25, 37, 67 or, ideally, 111 markers as soon as you can. In addition, "Deep Clade" SNP testing with Family Tree DNA to confirm one's y-dna haplogroup is strongly recommended. The Deep Clade test can be ordered from a link on one's "Haplotree" page.
We respectfully ask that you, as a participating member of the Bretagne Y-DNA Project, create a YSearch entry. That can easily be done by going to your "Y-DNA Matches" page, clicking on the link there that says, "Click here to upload to Ysearch.org", and following the directions.
If you are a member of the French Heritage DNA Project, please don't quit it to become a member of the Bretagne Y-DNA Project. You can belong to both projects at the same time!
