The National Association of Leavitt Families is an organization formed around the descendants of immigrants John Leavitt of Hingham,MA and Thomas Leavitt of Hampton,NH, both arriving in America in the early 1600's. Our DNA project was begun for the purpose of looking into their ancestry, to see if there were any relations between the two men. This was a successful venture, but our work doesn't end there. There are many other Leavitt lines whose origins are not yet known, and we still seek volunteers to help with this. If you are from an undetermined line, or from a genealogically established one, we welcome you!
