This project is open to any male Swindle (and spelling variants) anywhere in the world. You must take the Y-DNA test. A female can join the project with a Y-DNA kit of a male Swindle/Swindell relative.
Initially the project focused on the Swindle (and all spelling variations) families of the United States, to see how (and if) they are all related. It became obvious almost immediately that there are many unrelated lines, and even several different haplogroups.
