As of March 2019, we estimate that approximately 9 distinct genetic origins for the Drennan surname are represented in the project.
So far, We have representative lines listing origins in Ireland, Scotland, England, and the United States.
Ideally, we hope to eventually have participants from as many unlinked Drennan ancestors as possible, preferably from two different lines of descent from the most distant known Drennan ancestors when available, which would allow us to begin establishing baseline DNA signatures for the common ancestors.
