This project is for family finder, Y-DNA, and mtDNA kits for people who have a documented connection to Anyksciai (also known as Anixt, Anisht, Anishty, or Onixty), Lithuania.  The goal of this project is to identify a DNA profile for the descendants of former town residents. 

The following Anyksciai families have descendants included in this project:  ALPERSHTEIN, BERMAN, EREZ, GISLBERG, GOLDSHTEIN, JAFFE, KARPUKH, OGUZ, PORTNOI, RAPOPORT, RODKIN, SAPERSHTEIN, SCHNEIDER, SCHPLAVER, SHAPIRO, SPLAVER, YUDELEVITZ, VILIAN
