About us
The goal is to identify and verify Barbee (and variant spellings) family connections through Y-DNA testing. Although DNA testing will likely not identify your missing link, DNA testing can prove or disprove connections, and thus focus conventional genealogical research efforts and break down brick walls.
Major goals are to determine whether:
1. William and Andrew Barbee of the 1600s in Virginia are related.
2. Other U. S. Barbee lines are related to William or Andrew Barbee.
3. U.S. Barbee’s are related to Barbee’s (or similar names) in other countries.
All males who are Barbee’s (or variant spellings) by birth are welcome to participate. Others may sponsor a male Barbee. For those that cannot pay the full amount, please contact the Group Administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to email the Group Administrator.
