Philip Hunton, the immigrant ancestor, b. abt. 1664 married Betsy Hall, of Exeter, New Hampshire. His second wife was Hannah died Dec. 22, 1741. He came to this country as a boy. Huntoon, Canton, June 1, 1881) The name Huntoon appeared in New Hampshire, Colonial British America shortly after his arrival.  Some Huntoons changed their name to Huntone.
