About us
This is the HV0 Mitochondrial DNA Full Genomic Sequence (mtGenome) Project. To Join you must:
1.Have Results from your Full Mitochondrial DNA Sequence test, FMS, at Family Tree DNA.
2.Have your HVR1, HVR2, and Coding Region results turned on.
3.Add the information for your maternal ancestor --this is always a woman, if known.
4.Add the geographic coordinates for your maternal ancestorHV0 Sequences in academic papers:

Please note when comparing mutations and genetic distance: The mutations 309.1C(C), 315.1C, AC indels at 515-522, A16182c, A16183c, 16193.1C(C) and C16519T/T16519C were not considered for phylogenetic reconstruction and are therefore excluded from the tree.- Citation: van Oven M, Kayser M. 2009.
