The Álvarez DNA Surname Project is asking that all individuals with the surname Álvarez that have roots in Mexico and Spain, take part in a study to help fill in the gaps that the paper trial has left behind. Although this project is focusing on Álvarez from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Spain it would be interesting to see how Álvarez' from out side Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Spain match as well.
