The project will attempt to discover relationships among Barrett families and families which have similar names. It also will attempt to identify the national and ethnic origins of families or individuals.

This project uses Y-Chromosome testing. Therefore the DNA sample must be provided by a male BARRETT with an unbroken male BARRETT line.

Members of the McAndrew family from Co. Mayo, Ireland are encouraged to join as they are matching with two of our family groups.
