About us
The principal goals of the project are:
1 to identify the main genetic lines of the Baumgartners and their name variants
2 to identify the geographic homeland of each line
3 to assist members to identify their line and fill in their family tree or genealogy.
The Baumgartner DNA Project is open to all who are interested in working together to find their common heritage through sharing of information and Y-DNA testing. All variant spellings are welcome. If your Surname is missing, we'll be glad to add it.
Chuck Godfrey and his Trub Baumgartner Relatives: There is specific interest in mapping the many US family branches with roots in Langnau/Trub, Canton Berne, Switzerland and their Mennonite relatives.
Chris Rоttеnѕtеіnеr: There is specific interest in Baumgartner branches with origins from Eisack valley and Ritten in South Tyrol, North Italy.
