The public website for the Belarus-Lida Region Dual Geographic Project was launched 27 April 2011.

On 28 April 2011, e-mail announcing the new project was sent to the following genealogical and DNA research listservs: LidaRoots, Lithuanian Genealogy, Poland Roots, Kresy-Siberia, Rootsweb Belarus, PolishMass, Worcester Rootsweb, and ISOGG.
