About us
My personal interest is in the Bennetts of Wiveliscombe, Somerset, England of the 16th and 17th centuries. Although there is a number of claimants to the family, the Y-DNA results are contradictory and none have sufficiently proved the lineage to back to Wiveliscombe. I've decided to broaden the search to all Bennetts regardless origin. Here's the thing, most colonial lineages that attempt to cross the pond to England are wrong. The true successes amount to only a few hundred, not thousands. I've written about that here: http://bogusgenealogy.com/viewer.pl?2023-01-20-donkeytail.html. I'll work as diligently on all testers as any other. I recommend the Y-37 as a starter with the intent of upgrading to the Big Y.
