The Blanchard Y-DNA project is open to men with the Blanchard surname or anything similar, as well as to men who believe they descend from Blanchards via their male line. We see at least 18 different unrelated Blanchard lines in the USA, Australia, and England, as well as three in Canada and one in France, based just on the DNA results. We hope to learn whether other known Blanchard lines are related to those already tested, including lines with similar surnames like Blance, Blancett and Blackard. We also hope to identify more lines in the Old World that are related to those seen in the New.
