The results at our former surnameproject with Genebase showed the Boswijk Y-DNA with maximum number of mutations of 3/45 over 13 generations. This gave a good idea of the haplotype of Geert Lucas Boswijk (1737-1817).
The first Siepel results spread some doubt with 12/45 over 19 generations. But now we have the results of the second Siepelfamilymember there is only a difference of one on 45 markers over 20 generations. To us the familybonds are clear now.
De resultaten van onze eerste onderzoek bij Genebase leverde een maximale "genetic distance"op van 3/45 over 13 generaties. Het haplotype van Geert Lucas Boswijk (1737-1817)is hiermee wel duidelijk.
Het eerste Siepel resultaat zaaide wat twijfel met een GD van 12/45 over 19 generaties. Maar nu de tweede Siepel maar één verschil op 45 markers heeft over 20 generaties is het familieverband duidelijk bewezen.
As a second result we found a major mistake in the Siepel familytree which explains the mismatches with the main branch of the Siepel family. The name in this branch wasn't inherited by the paternalline but by the maternalline. Nothing wrong with the familyrelations but a blunder in archiveresearch. ;-)
Als tweede resultaat vonden we een grote misser in de Siepelstamboom. Dit verklaarde de afwijkende uitkomsten van de hoofdtak van de Siepelboom. De familienaam was niet overgenomen van vaderskant maar van de jong overleden moeder. Dus niets mis met de familierelatie maar een blunder in archiefonderzoek.
The third result was the proof of paternity of a son born one month before the marriage of the parents. Though the father signed with the marriage that he aknowlegded the son as his own it's now 140 years later, sure for the descendants aswell.
Het derde resultaat is het bewijs van vaderschap van een zoon die een maand voor het huwelijk van zijn ouders was geboren. Ondanks dat de vader de zoon erkende bij het huwelijk, is het nu 140 jaar later, ook zeker voor zijn afstammelingen.
The latest result is proving a theoretical linage of the Keizer branch of the Siepel's from the village of Nijensleek. In this way it's clear that both the branch of Veendam and the one of Nijensleek belong to one family with a Derk Siepel (bc 1600) as our common ancestor.
Het laatste onderzoek heeft de theoretische stamreeks van de Keizer-tak van de Siepels van Nijensleek onderbouwd. Hiermee is duidelijk geworden dat én de tak in Veendam én die in Nijensleek, tot één familie behoren met als stamvader een Derk Siepel. Deze Derk moet zijn geboren rond 1600.
