Boucher, Boutcher, Butcher, etc - This Boucher surname project, including its many spelling variants, was conceived because of an inablilty to find proof of a connection between Bouchers and Butchers living in Virginia in the mid-1700s who migrated there from Pennsylvania and those who were living in western Virginia in the late 1700s.   The project welcomes other Bouchers and Butchers who may not have had a presence in Virginia but could have had earlier common ancestors.
