This project intends to foster research of this haplogroup by accomplishing the following goals:
1. Identify members of the B haplogroup within FTDNA's database,
2. Study the different haplotypes in our project in search for commonalities that allow for groupings and classification;
3. Detail the current geographic distribution of B Y-chromosomes;
4. Contrast the genetic profiles of members of haplogroup B against those of members of other haplogroups.

Members of all y-chromosome haplogroups with an interest in pursuing these goals are welcome to join.
