About us
As of July 1, 2017, most all of the materials from the "original" James River Viking Childers/Childress has been migrated over from the Freepages account to this FamilyTreeDNA website. We hope that this new website allows the viewer to take full advantage of the enhanced capabilities of the website. If you're new to this website, be sure and use the "Links" button on the left column to navigate to the original website content, as well as considerable supplemental materials.
Please Note! If you have problems viewing all elements of the new website, missing data could be the result of incompatibility of your browser and the website itself. As an example, a new iPad Pro might be unable to view the body of the "surnames" when clicking on the Surname tab on the left column on this website. Likewise, it may be unable to view the "Links" tab. However, an older iPad might be able to view all the elements, even though both browsers are Safari. There are no reported issues with a PC.
If you encounter the above problem, you can likely rectify it by downloading and using a different browser platform such as Google Chrome.
We apologize for any inconvenience...
7/1/2017 Please note the expanded offerings on the "Links" tab on the activity feed. Note the availability of the archived Childers-Childress Family Association newsletters from FamilySearch.org, a branch of the Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) offerings.
