Chowning Family surname project was started in March of 2013.  All surname spelling variants, regardless of location, are welcome to join our family project.  If there are other variant spellings that should be added to the surname list, please let the group administrator know. The full value of DNA testing for genealogical purposes can only be realized when there are enough test participants from different family lines for comparison, so we are actively seeking other project participants.  Please don't hesitate to contact the administrator if you have any questions.
