We need more men from the still untested Duncan, Donachie, Robertson, McConnachie, and Reid male lines. We need a lot more men from Scotland and Ireland with know genealogical connections back to Scotland and Ireland to test....... Any help in recruiting new participants is greatly appreciated.
We now have four cases of different Duncan groups jumping the pond back to Scotland. We now have confirmed four Scottish matches for these Duncan male lines in the US. These men share the same Y-DNA male line and it leads back to Scotland!
Please understand that There is not one single Y-DNA test to take but a series of DNA tests to continually dig deeper into our histories.

The Donnachaidh DNA Project's "General Fund" is now open to receive donated contributions to help further our DNA project goals. To access the General Fund select the large blue Donate button to your left and follow instructions. We thank you for any donated amount.
Our first priority with general donations are used to purchase test kits for distribution in Scotland and Ireland as part of our "Journey Home Project". Second priority is applying funds to selected test upgrades.
You may donate and request funds be targeted to a specific test kit and/or upgrade. Enter appropriate instructions in the note box.
Persons may donate into a group fund for a specific test, subject, and location. Once prearranged fund levels are reached we can then order the appropriate test.

All participants will be included in the ongoing studies and by joining the project; you are giving consent for your information to be anonymously included (via your kit #) in ongoing genetic genealogy research. Your personal identity will not be revealed, but your results will be used to better understand the surnames of Clan Donnachaidh as a people and the history of our ancestors.
