The Big Y is most pleasing - it is from these results that we get the haplotree and the deeper we learn (and go) regarding our deep ancestry.
This is NOT a genealogical test but if a number of men have distant matches at Y-111, we can piece together a better indication as to when the families branched off from one another.
Obviously, the higher numbers of men who test, the more certain the results. (It is certainly cheaper than the FULL genome test).
