Clay Family Society yDNA Strategic Plan

Mission Statement - integrate genealogy and DNA to expand the knowledge of surname Clay.

Vision - As new genealogy discoveries decrease, Y-DNA discoveries will increase and there integration will extend genealogy by merging Clay Trees/Branches/Lines.

Values - The DNA Administrators are sensitive to personal information and uses genetic proof standards.

Goals

1. All CFS members are included in the appropriate genealogy TNG Tree and Branch

2. All  CFS male members with the surname Clay have tested their Y-DNA with FamilyTreeDNA (FTDNA) and joined the Clay Group Project (Clay GP)

3. All FTDNA Y-DNA lower level Kits with strategic value are upgraded to Big-Y

4. Big-Y data and genealogy are integrated into a Genealogy & DNA Haplotree for each Clay branch that is refined with new DNA testing.
   
   
5. The Integrated Haplotrees help breaks through Clay Tree/Branch brick walls and merge Clay genealogy Branches over time.
