Due to all the changes and restrictions done to FTDNA projects/groups lately, all group categorization and assistance is very difficult and sometimes impossible. There will be delays in all categorization. So please be patient. Also note that you must give project administrators Limited or Full access to get any help at all, otherwise your results and information is hidden (and there is little point in being a member).we request ( some )family history on any one that does test. We also are connecting with Family Finder Test, as well as MTDNA.

We believe in documenting our family research to help us to Discover our DNA connections.

So we request ( some )family history on any one that does test, with that history,

Additionally the Administrator requests that you give at least "Limited "access to your information and DNA data, best access would be "Unlimited" for ADM help.

otherwise, there is no need to be in the project because the admin cannot help you find connections

We Welcome you and I do suggest the Male McDowell's 

first take at least take the Y-37 test to have your results in the same range as Family Finder test.others male McDowells in the project... 

Female McDowell's and Male McDowell , will find McDowell Cousins by using the family finder test 

Any one that wants to take the MTDNA test is welcome to do so however this test will only follow your

Mothers DNA back, in history and give you a Origin of her Mother's mother's mother's  country of origin.
