The Craigmile (Craigmiles, Craigmyle, etc) Family Tree DNA Project has gotten off to a great start! Our initial thoughts were that we probably had three unrelated Craigmile families in the U.S. which all originated at some point from Scotland. Much to our surprise, and delight, the family from County Tyrone, N.Ireland (one participant to date) is a match to the family that appears in Kentucky in 1789 (five participants). This is an exciting connection that might never have been discovered without the help of DNA testing. Our next focus with this family is to make a connection with cousins in Northern Ireland!

The second Craigmile family (two participants to date) originates from Scotland, with descendents found in England, Canada, Australia, and the U.S.
