The primary objective of this project is to evaluate relationships among those with the surname Danko and related surnames.

In Europe, the Danko surname is spread out across a large area, but the main concentration of the surname appears in areas formerly ruled by the Austro-Hungarian Empire. One main goal of this project is to discover whether there is a DNA connection among those with the surname in various countries, including Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary.
