The purpose of this project is through DNA tests enhance our knowledge about the different DEBOECK family clans, starting from those residing in Belgium but also including those that have emigrated and are spread around the world.
After years of genealogy research the use of Y-chrom DNA tests has been adopted to confirm the paper trails we have assembled, to accelerate our research and to facilitate finding new links between Deboeck family clans.
This project aims at coordinating results and building a Y-DNA database on the surname DEBOECK in order to identify various DEBOECK ancestral lines. It also aims at spreading the value of Y-DNA testing and in particular the services provided by FamilyTreeDNA. so as to enrich our knowledge about our ancestors that we can pass on to future generations.
