About us
Our goal is to help each member find his immigrant ancestor and date of arrival in America. Many thought all Faulkenberry families descended from Jacob Hendricks Falkenburg who was in America in the late 1600s, yet Y-DNA tests have defined four distinct Y-DNA haplogroups within the project - E, I, J, and R. In 2012, Y-DNA linked one haplogroup (R) to Lambert Van Valkenburg who arrived in America in 1644 from The Netherlands. We hope to find the paper trails leading to him. Within the R Haplogroup are multiple haplotypes, and our goal is to help members of all haplotypes to find their common ancestor. And, finally, we want to help the other three haplogroups extend their lineages back to their immigrant - and beyond.
