1) To confirm our existing paper trails;

2) To determine if there is a close connection between the many Fortune lines of descent in the United States, Ireland and Scotland;

3) To try and break through those "brick walls" in our Fortune lines;

4) To try and pinpoint a geographical location of our earliest Fortune ancestor and trace his path of migration.
