The goal of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia DNA Project is to study the genetic heritage of this Italian border region. DNA testing, both yDNA for paternal lines and mtDNA for maternal lines, will provide a picture of the deep and recent ethnic background of actual inhabitants of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and their descendants. This project is open to all direct descendants of people who can trace their roots to Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
