GALARZA is a BASQUE name frequently found in Mexican and South American Contexts. The name is found among the earliest 16th century colonist of Mexico. Our first results were surprising since we assumed they would be the R1b Basque Haplotype but it turned out they are I1c which is likely from the Visigoth invaders of the Iberian peninusula. How this Visigoth got a name like GALARZA would be an interesting story
