This project welcomes all males who carry the surnames shown below. There were three families named Gerlach in the 1710 Palatine Emigration to New York State. Over time the spellings evolved. Other immigrants with similar surnames came to America over time. The Project seeks to determine whether the original three emigrant families were related. More broadly, it is interested in identifying connections among people carrying these surnames, whether or not they have left the German-speaking parts of Europe.
