The majority of the Garza descendants will match up Garza Group 1 from the DNA Results page. There are some Garza who do not match, but more testers are needed to determine their lineages. The following uses Big Y data from Garza Group 1 (R-M269 > DF27 > ZZ12_1 > BY15969).

R-BY15969 - Parent haplogroup to the rest. All descendants of Marcos Alonso de la Garza belong to this one.

R-PR2265 - Descendants of Blas, son of Marcos Alonso. Includes the Montemayor branch.

R-BY34756 - Some descendants of Pedro, son of Marcos Alonso. Not all Pedro descendants. More testers needed.

R-BY142102 - At least some Montemayor, descendants of R-PR2265. Unknown at this time if it includes all Montemayor or if some Garza are also part of this group. More testers needed.

R-BY56263 - Some descendants of Francisco, son of Marcos Alonso. One kit has a brick wall, so we don't know which descendants are part of this group without more testers.
