The Gilbert DNA Project was started in 2004 by Jane Gilbert in an attempt to learn about the origins of her 5th great grandfather, Caleb Gilbert of Newberry County, SC.   It took a few years, but eventually the right men were tested, and his suspected roots in Bucks County, PA were confirmed.   

Several years later, the Gilbert Project was blessed to have Chris Gilbert of the UK join as an admin.   Chris has done wonders creating WikiTree pages in support of the project, and has spent countless hours researching various Gilbert lines in the UK.
