About us
Huntar, Hunter, Huntere, Hunterr, Huinter, Hunnter and variants.
The Huntar DNA Project is a detour on a journey that began over 30 years ago, uncovering the knowledge that the surname Hunter originally stemmed from Huntar. This project aims to explore all the family branches descending from the Hunter Lairds of Hunterston in Scotland, as well as those in Ireland, Canada, Australia, England, Wales, and the USA.
The Huntar Project is open to anyone interested in collaborating to discover our shared heritage through information sharing and DNA testing. If you haven't joined yet, we encourage you to do so today!
