We have worked with FTDNA to make sure that FTDNA's J-L24 Haplotree is up to date! There are still some bugs to be worked out and some important missing branches but overall the J-L24 Haplotree is the best it has ever been!

FTDNA's section remains incomplete compared to the known J-L24 genetic tree. Please contact the J-L24 project administrators if you are planning a SNP test based on the FTDNA . We will correctly advise you on which SNP(s) to test based on 37 or more markers tested.
Currently FTDNA does not offer a Deep Clade test, except for the BigY test, to determine which branch of the Y-tree one belongs. A very low cost per SNP test is offered by National Geographic where over 12000 Y-SNPs are tested. Geno 2.0 will determine your primary placement in the J-L24 Y-tree with the added bonus that new branches (SNPs), or your own personal branch (SNP), may be revealed! Unsecure links can no longer be posted to the news sections. This makes sense because FTDNA is a secure website so everything within also has to be secure. Therefore we have moved our J-L24 draft genetic tree to a pdf file which can be accessed from the project's new Google Drive website. Moving to a pdf format for the tree has made a big difference to the presentation of our tree because now you can use the pdf function to locate SNPs and subclades anywhere in the tree. We also added important clusters to the tree such as the DYS462=8, Curtin, PF5456-beta, and Al-Ahsaa clusters among others. I will also place the link to our project's genetic tree in our project section, which can have unsecure links. Please let me know if you have any troubles accessing the link below:
