About us

Earliest ancestors of record for samples to date were from Europe, most in areas along the North and Baltic Seas, or more recently in various U.S. locations Most related members also have characteristic markers for a recently-identified subclade of J2, now known as Haplograoup J2a1h, following nomenclature of the 2008 phylogenetic tree of the International Society of Genetic Genealogy (ISOGG 2008). While only a few have been tested for the definitive marker (no part of a regular test panel), all those with the characteristic markers also had the defining marker, a value of 6 or less at DYS 445, which appears to be a one-time-only mutation.

Tables that include members tested by other labs and added to the project manually can be viewed at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~devinedna/j2plus/J2PlusTables.htm
