This study was started to defined lineage of Kearon, Kearn, Kern of County Wicklow, Ireland. Like many other Irish families, descendants are found in Ireland, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and United States. The origin of the Kearon surname is unknown, but the earliest documented location for the Kearon family is the area around County Wicklow, Leinster, Ireland. Please note that there is no "k" in the Irish language and anglicised Irish surnames often replace "c" with the letter "k", eg. St Ciaran ~ St Kieran etc.
