Keeling, Keylon, Keelynge

Searching for our kin through DNA and Genealogy

About us

Our Keeling, Keylon, Keelynge researches family history of the many different branches of Keelings worldwide. DNA matching has shown that not all male line branches since 1600 have been surnamed Keeling or even with a surname beginning with the letter 'K'. Example: it appears that Gouldmans and some Goldens of Virginia and the Carolinas in the USA may descend from a 1635 Keeling immigrant. Within the UK, the Keeling name has deep historical and DNA roots in the Derby and Stafford areas, and possibly Wales before the 1600s. However, it would again appear that DNA-matched male lines had surnames prior to/since 1600 which are different: Knight, Stephens. Higher-level YDNA testing shows that one UK/USA line are direct male-line kin with the Trulsson and Kullaslakten families of Norway and Sweden. Our project is here to explore our shared family history. Bill Golden Norfolk1956@gmail.com
