About us

The purpose of this project is to use DNA evidence to help identify the various Kehoe lines of descent and learn more about the origins of the surname.

Project goals:
  • Assist members with understanding their DNA results
  • Group and analyze Y-SNP and Y-STR results
  • Investigate surname origins and migration paths
  • Identify common ancestors and paternal lineages
If you are a Kehoe male, please order a Y-DNA test (37 markers, 111 markers, or the Big Y).  Females and related males who don't carry the Kehoe surname should order the Family Finder test. Females should ask a male Kehoe relative to take a Y-DNA test. Please contact an administrator if you need assistance with ordering.
