Laenen Van Pelt is here also which was shortened to Lane when they came to America. Only males have Y-chromosomes, so only male LANE (or variant) can participate. If you are female, you can have a male LANE (or varient) relative submit a sample for your line. Otherwise there is a Lane Autosomal Group to consider (not here). To participate meaningfully, testers should provide their direct male line ancestry back to the earliest known LANE (or variant).
