The Goal of this project is open to suggestions. One goal is to Y dna test male line descendants of Henry, William and John Ledford. These teenage brothers immigrated to the America Colonies about 1740 and settled in Augusta County, Virginia. Another goal would be to learn where these brothers' ancestors came from. A previous project administrator had chosen to include the surnames Corder, Sampson and Day surnames (those associated with the Cherokee Day female), until both groups grow large enough to warrant project status alone. This project has also had a goal to develop opportunities to link to the Ledford, Day, Sampson and Corder surnames via dna testing made available for genealogy purposes and to provide a method to break trough to Eastern European relatives / other relatives elsewhere in the World.
