About us
The goal of the Lindsay International Surname DNA Project is to place each participant on the Y-DNA family tree of humanity. When placed, each participant will know where he fits into a specific branch associated with a Lindsay/Lindsey family. In the process, these various Lindsay/Lindsey lineages will develop further. Knowledge of placement of ourselves and others will focus collaboration in our collective assault on our various brick walls.
It is anticipated that the Lindsay DNA database will continue to grow and hopefully at some point we will be able to easily match any Lindsay (however spelled) male who is DNA tested with other well genealogically documented Lindsay lineages and DNA Groupings that already exist in the Lindsay International Surname DNA Project database.
The Lindsey/Lindsay Surname Project at FTDNA holds the results of all tests purchased from Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) of Houston, TX. FTDNA offers testing, and supports their customer base with websites for Surname, Haplogroup, Geographical and ad hoc Projects. FTDNA provides analytic tools to the Project Administrators to enable efficient placement of incoming participants into their appropriate genetic families.
