About us

The Lominac project hopes to establish Y-DNA (male line)origins of the various branches in America and abroad. A split in the DNA origins of branches with paper trails leading to the same man, Johan Jacob Lamineck has been solved. The J2b contingent of the project appear to be the descendents of Johan as they all match with mostly immaculate paper trails....including a somewhat distant match with a Lamneck whose line came to America more than a century later in the 1800s. The goal for that group should be to continue to follow the surname to conclusion via as yet unconnected persons found in various old latin books i.e. Mathias Lamneck, Theod. De Lameneck in Bunchingen in 1324 and Ulrichus de Lomnich in Lomnice and Austria from 1224 AD. It complicates matters for the Lominac, Laumenech in the project. The Lominacs under Lattie Buck Lominac (where the break occurs)now most certainly come under the paternal Sudduth lines in the name of Fielding Sudduth (1785-1862). Further testing will be required to find Lattie Buck Lominac's exact Sudduth father. The Bretagne Lomenechs need to further explore their paper trails before they can proceed any further..
