The goals of the project include, among others: (a) help participants solve longstanding genealogical problems and find new relationships with other Lumpkin(s) lines, (b) determine which particular Lumpkin(s) lines are closely related and which are not, (c) determine how many different common male ancestors are represented by the Lumpkin(s) surname, (d) are there geographical relationships that can be established?, (e) are all Lumpkin(s) from an ancestral country related, or are there many different families with the name Lumpkin(s)?
