Project Goals

Through the results of these DNA tests we hope to achieve the following goals:

To determine possible relationships between the known Lumsden lines in the Scottish homeland and those in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other countries.

 - To assist Lumsdens not sure of their lineage to determine which of these broad groups they might fit into.

 - To encourage one male Lumsden from each recorded Lumsden line to volunteer for the Y-DNA test.
