The goals of the MacAulay Surname DNA Project include:
• Utilize DNA testing to investigate relationships and deep ancestral roots and emigration patterns.
• Assist group members and other historically related families determine family locations and movements.
• Help people prove or disprove theories regarding their family history or ancestry by providing additional resources.
• Share with other DNA projects information on Irish and Scottish genealogy and family histories.
