About us
We have found that most U.S. Mangums, Manghams & Mangrums are very closely related, and likely descended from John Mangum our supposed immigrant ancestor.
We have found other unrelated line of Mangums. One is represented by three participants who descend from James & Jesse, two Mangums from N.C. c1800-1810) who may be brothers. Another descends from Greenberry Mangum/Mangrum of Tennessee who seems to be genetically a Duke. Another line of Mangrums from S.C. seems to be genetically a Griffin. We have also found a Robertson line that is identical to the main line of Mangums in the U.S.
From England we have several participants. We have Manghams, one Maugham, one Manningham one Malham, one Mingham, one Mengham, one Malham, two Manninghams & one Mangle participants. We also have a Mangan participant from Irish ancestors. The four Manghams are unrelated to the U.S. surnames, although three of them are related to each other. Actually, none of the English/Irish surnames seem to be closely related to the U.S. Surnames.
