As of December 26, 2017 we have 468 participants with kits returned (up from 365 in April 2012), from widely scattered Matthews, Mathews, Mathis family members (with so many different variant spellings it's hard to keep track!).

PLEASE NOTE: All new and old participants need to make sure to enter information regarding their earliest known ancestor on their FTDNA account personal profile page (name, birthdate, birthplace). This information is useful and necessary to help make successful connections between family groups.
