1. To examine genetic similarities among the branches of the McGrew family. Some McGrew's trace their line back to Robert McGrew. Others trace their's back to James McGrew or Alexander MacGruar/McGrew. Genetic studies may shed light on any relationship among these Omagh immigrants of different generations. Previously unknown lines may also be found.
2. To evaluate any relationship between McGrew's and the MacGregor Clan or other Scot's clans.
